The Charleston Junior Woman's Club (CJWC) is a civic, nonprofit organization, founded in 1966. All members of CJWC are united by dedication to community improvement through volunteerism. The CJWC leadership stresses community involvement among its members, who in turn donate their time and talent to numerous organizations. In addition to several volunteer opportunities, club members participate in annual fundraising events in order to raise funds for local charities. During the year, social activities and events for members allow them to learn more about one another as well as the club's purposes and goals. CJWC participates in State and International Conventions in its connection to the General Federation of Women's Clubs where is it recognized for its service and leadership within the community. This connection provides club women with networking opportunities within the general federation. |
Newsletter Highlights: Club Year in Review: Thank you all so much for your hard work this spring! This has been a very successful year for CJWC! We have grossed over $10,000 in earnings this year for the Charleston Breast Center and Pet Helpers. What an accomplishment! It takes each one of us to make such an impact. Club functions may be on hiatus over the summer; however, we will again kick off the year with Membership socials. If you know of woman whom may be interested in the club, please send their name and email to info@cjwc.org. Congratulations to the: Club Woman of the Year 2008-2009: Chrissy File |
