Membership Information

The Charleston Junior Woman's Club, founded in 1966, is a member of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs. The goal of the organization is to be of service to the community through voluntarism. Personally, we strive to grow as individuals through service, education, and fellowship with one another.

DUES: Annual dues are $100.00.

MEETINGS: General meetings are held on the first Monday of every month from October through May, with the September meeting held the second Monday of the month. General Membership Meetings are held at the Charleston County Library on Calhoun Street (unless otherwise specified) and begin promptly at 6:30 pm.

FULL CLUB PROJECTS: CJWC sponsors "full club projects" in which all members are expected to participate. Participation in full club projects are a great way to get to know fellow club members and is the KEY to making a difference in our community. Members also participate in our Community Improvement Project activities which benefit different charities throughout the year. For the 2014-2015 club year, CJWC will be supporting the PlayToday! Foundation . We will be planning many service activities with this organization. In addition, March of Dimes South Carolina will be the benefactor of all proceeds from our Spring Soiree fundraiser.

DEPARTMENTS: The Charleston Junior Woman's Club structure follows that of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. Federation programs and projects are established at the national level and implemented at the club level through the work of six departments Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs, and Public Affairs. Each department is chaired by an active club member, which organize several programs and projects for members to participate in through out the club year.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: A few of the organizations supported by CJWC, both monetarily and through service, include:
